Perth & Rottnest Island

Yesterday we had a very special day over on Rottnest Island, simply stunning!
The colours are out of this world as are the quokkas. Rottnest Island  (rats nest ) was  so named by the early dutch explorers because they thought quokkas were large rats. Sorry Eunice we couldn't fit one into our bag!

Those of you on facebook might already know that this morning I came back from the showers to find Steve taking selfies of himself with a black swan outside our camper. It doesn't take much to amuse us! This afternoon we went down to Fremantle, a cool place with great vibes. Scott & Chris, we had a beer or two for you at Little Creatures.

Tomorrow we leave Perth to start the long drive to Broome (2,600 kms). We will are planning on taking 4/5 weeks. More blogs soon ..............
