Alice Springs

A couple of weeks ago I had a spur of the moment idea that Shirley & Merv could fly out and meet us in Alice. They flew in for 12 days and stayed with Rain (Steve's cousin ) &  her family. It was lovely being together for a few days. Rain & Geoff organised a wonderful evening at Wiggles waterhole with a campfire and barbeque! Thank you guys for being so welcoming! We visited the Desert Park, School of the Air and did a walking tour of Alice.

We took Shirley & Merv to Kings Canyon (they had a resort room, while we camped) for 2 nights. We did three beautiful walks with them and one walk on our own around the rim of Kings Canyon. We walked 8.2km and I found the walk to be challenging, but it was the most spectacular walk I have ever done
