Kakadu is totally awesome, beautiful scenery and wildlife. I think we have learnt a little more about salt water croc behaviour. At Cahills's crossing( bordering Arnhem Land, East Alligator River) we were fortunate enough to be there at change of tide. Steve did a spot of fishing but the crocs were much better at catching fish. A few people have lost their lives in this area due to croc attacks.
To see some of the rock art up close is very special. In one of the pictures you will notice the cobalt blue colour used, people couldn't understand where the blue was coming from as they didn't have this colour in nature to use. After a bit of research it was discovered that someone had gone over to the mission and appropriated their laundry blue bag.
Our day in Arnhem Land was spectacular. Visiting the Injiluk Arts Centre to watch the artists at work (also a spot of shopping). We witnessed a traditional owner come down to a billabong to hunt for magpie geese with a shotgun.
We both really want to come back to this area of our country to experience some of the wet season.
