Here we are in Athens, staying in the shadows of the Acropolis as you will see in the pic of Ike having breakky on the roof of the hotel. Climbed up to the Acropolis, visited the Theatre of Dionysos. Ike sat on a chair about 3,500 years old. But we we were told GET THAT BEAR OFF THE CHAIR! When we we arrived a the top , we were told that Ike was not allowed up. Can you believe that, they said he was forbidden (that was the only reason given). Poor Ike! Fancy that, the Acropolis is not Ike friendly. He had wait for us to come back down.
The Acropolis and Parthenon are amazing! The area we are staying is built on top of ruins. We are off to Santorini early tomorrow. Managed to get our train tickets for the sleeper to Istanbul next Monday.

Hi Chriss and Steve...Love your blog. Chriss - I think we're going to lose you to children's publishing as your stories of Ike are totally wild! Great trip and adventures you've been on. Tried to get class on line but , you would believe it, internet problems! Broke my finger catching a flying chair on last day of school...just kidding, catching a ball in 'bin ball'- so am typing with difficulty, one handed. Keep up all the fun. Love Gabby
